education saves lives - it's simple

Gulu

The town and province of Gulu is located in the war torn north of Uganda. Here, the Lord's Resistance Army, a rebel guerrilla group, have been engaged in armed rebellion against the Ugandan government since 1987. Although the fighting has now mostly stopped, the local people are still suffering the consequences - this is certainly an area where TME life skills lessons are urgently needed.

We are working in Gulu with Rev John Olanya and his team of community educators. They are a very proactive group who have already translated 8 of our lesson scripts into the local language, Acholi. As soon as 2 lessons have been translated, John emails them back to us and requests the next 2 scripts for translation - they are really driving this partnership, which is the model we are always aiming for!
