education saves lives - it's simple

Global Care

Global Care is a UK (Coventry) based children's charity who work throughout Uganda, as well as in other parts of the world. We have linked up with them to feed into their existing projects in Uganda, through close cooperation with their Ugandan Country Manager, based in Kampala. At present they are actively using our lessons in the Soroti area, as Ateso was the first Ugandan language into which our lessons were translated. The UK director of Global Care recently phoned us to say that he'd received a field report from Soroti which included reference to the usefulness of our Safe Water lesson.

We have just sent a package of lessons in 4 different Ugandan languages out to Kampala for use with Global Care projects around the country, so hopefully we will hear similar reports from other parts of the country soon. Two of Global Care's Ugandan staff deserve special mention: Steve Asubu, the Country Mangager, and his Soroti-based colleague, Anne Emuron have been extremely helpful in facilitating both translations and recordings of lesson scripts.
